Our Science lesson - Monday 19th September

Today in Science we had to find the best materials for blackout curtains. We used torches as the light source, a datalogger to give us a measurement and a variety of materials. We will type up our results for you to see. We had to make sure that our test was fair and that we took a Control reading. We made some interesting discoveries.

When we carried out the tests one of the materials was foil. Would you use foil to black out your windows?

Do you know why windows were blacked out?

Next week we are writing a speech that a warden might give to the local residents. We want to inform the people in our towns as to which material they should use. Luckily, this is only pretend. We are so glad that we don't really have to black out our windows.
