Our new topic

We are starting our new topic and Matt is coming in tomorrow to help us to design the wall displays. His painting of St Paul's Cathedral, last term, was fantastic!

Mrs Penman has been putting up displays - all about water and recycling.
Here are a couple of photographs.

8 o'clock this morning!

Some teachers are at school, some teachers are on their way to school, some teachers are at the top of a hill near to school, taking photographs - but perhaps it was worth it.

Sunrise today!

Yes there was a rainbow! It was beautiful!

The photographs were taken on Haresfield Beacon - did you recognise it?

Our Christmas calendar cross stitch!

This is work of the week - it is a fantastic cross stitch calendar, designed and stitched by Alex. Sometimes, with cross stitch, it is difficult to see what the design should be - not in this one! Alex has made a lovely robin, and he looks quite content!

Well done Alex!

New Term

Here we are back to school, and 2 days have already passed. What have we done?

We have learned about Bacteria and viruses and the diseases that they can cause. Can you help us with our calculation?

(thank you to Salmonellablog for this photograph)

If 1 bacteria divides into 2 bacteria every 20 minutes, how many will there be after 24 hours if we started with 1?

We tried this in class - it is not as easy as it sounds!

If you can't work this one out - can you find out the sizes of bacteria and viruses?

Today is the day!

Today we start using our blog in a more organised and regular way. At the moment it is there but needs to be edited. So, here's the deal. We work on our blog, make it interesting, make it exciting and other people will want to have a look at it - even read it, perhaps even comment on what we have written.

You can add some comments at home - but don't forget that we need to add to our blog with our Russian friends. Two blogs to work on - what a challenge!

Good luck and have fun!
